Observation Tower, 1/48

I’m working in a base for the GMC Fuel Truck, before, I think to do a scene with an airplane, but this I love a lot this model, and finally I decide it deserves a base only for it.

I built an Observation Tower with Evergreen strips, I’ll use again a ICM figure, really this figures are awasome.

Soon more advances.

Estoy trabajando en una base para el GMC Fuel Truck, al principio pensaba hacer una escana con un avión, pero me gusta tanto este modelo, que finalmente decidi que merece una base solo para el.

He construido una Torre de Observación con perfiles de Evergreen, usaré también una figura de ICM, realmente estas figuras son increíbles.

GMC Airfield Fuel Truck

Ya está terminada el camión «gasolinero» La maqueta la ha montado Carlos Alba, gracias amigo, se ha detallado con algunas piezas del FG de Hauler, plasticard y algun trocillo de alambre, pero realmente tampoco necesita mucho para dejarlo bien, como es normal en las maquetas de Tamiya a esta escala.

He intentado, reflejar un vehiculo de aerodromo con suciedad y uso, pero sin envejecimientos «bestiales», que en este caso no proceden.

Esta pintado con acrilicos de Gunze para la base y óleos para el envejecimiento.

Espero os guste, yo me he divertido mucho pintándolo.

A different model, for a different paint work, not great weathering a more subtle finishing, with wears and handle zones, stains and fuel spots, airfield use is different like an AFV in the front in combat.

Un modelo diferente, para un trabajo de pintura diferente, no un desgaste acusado, un acabdo más sutil, con zonas desgastadas y manoseadas, manchas y restos de combustible, el uso en un aeródromo es diferente al de un vehiculo militar en el frente.

U.S. Tanker 1/35

US_Tanker_292A falta de los efectos de suciedad que haré en el Taller de José Hernández, y algun retoque final, doy por terminado el tanquista USA, de la 6ª División Acorazada.

Espero que tras la masterclass de ensuciado de figuras, obtenga los efectos que tengo en mente y que tanto se me resisten a salir. Espero que en cualquier caso, os guste por ahora.

M-706 Commando Armored Car, Airbrush Paint Work

I start to paint the M-706, logically I start with the airbrush work, I used the excellent Vallejo Model Air’s colors, I did a color select for an optimal results.

1/ First coat is the Primer color, US Olive Drab Primer #608

M-706_302/ I obtain the base color mixing Model Air Olive Drab #043 with Bright #254 Brillo, ratio 5:2

M-706_403/ First lights ara doing adding more Bright #254, to the previous color, I apply it in the upper surfaces, I search a natural and cenithal ilumination

M-706_50 4/ For the second light I add Model Air Sand #075, to reinforced the previous light, to imitate the weathering for the use, this way I paint with little clouds, more in the horizontal surfaces and in the most used zones

M-706_605/ For the sahdowing I mix Olive Drab #043 with Russian Green #017, I apply it in the panel joints and in the bottom vehicle parts, to reinfor the shadows and enhance the volumes
M-706_706/ To finnish I apply the weathering sketch, with a red earth color, characteristic in the Vietnam Vehicles, I used the #035 Cam. Light Brown, later with the weathering I will reinforced this effects

M-706 Commando Armored Car, Hobbyboss 1/35

Hi my Friends,

When I start to build this model, I think it will be an easy project, to enjoy the modelling before another one projects most difficult.

I’m wrong, this model is correct in the general shapes, but the plates cannot present the correct finishing with a little «cantliver», and I imitate it with Evergreen, besides the detail is poor, incorrect, etc, etc, sad.gif. I must to enhance all the model with more Evergreen, copper wire and more home-cocked pieces.

I change the wheels for New Hope Miniatures resin set, I place it now only for the pictures.

Soon I hope to finish it and start soon to paint.

Os quiero enseñar como llevo el montaje de este bonito vehiculo, pero «truñaco» de maqueta.

Lo que iba a ser un plácido proyecto rápido para divertirse antes de otros de más enjundia, de montaje facil, pintura alegre y tema nuevo para mi, Vietnam, se ha convertido en una pesadilla de montaje, aunque las formas son correctas, la maquete adolece de detalles que se puedan definir como tales, no representa las soldaduras entre planchas que presentaban un pequeño vuelo, que tuve que reconstruir con varillas de evergreen y plastico estirado, soldaduras, muelles de portezuelas, antena, todo en exceso basto, fuera de escala y a veces con formas por llamarlas de alguna forma «caprichosas».

Al final me he liado la manta a la cabeza, y me he decidido a detallarlo todo, ya me queda menos, espero pronto empezar a pintar.

Sin mas rollo, os pongo unas fotillos, por cierto las ruedas, que solo están presentadas para las fotos, son de «New Hope miniatures», imprescindibles para sustituir las de plástico blando que siempre acaban por deteriorarse.
